Dent Removal
There are so many different ways that a car can get dented. From rogue carts at the grocery store to overestimating the amount of space that you had backing into a parking spot, dents are downright easy to get! Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about their removal process — it’s not always easy, and it’s not always cheap.
This is one of the many services that we work on here at Autobahn Collision Center. Given that all dents are the cause of a collision, this shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. We spend a lot of our time figuring out the best way to safely remove a dent without doing more damage or needing to fully replace the dented part.
Something that we are always taking into consideration with our paintless dent-removal projects is how our work is going to affect the paint on the car. In the case that a dent does affect the paint of the car, there’s an entirely new project that our team will have to take on.
Glass Replacement
Another significant service that we offer here at Autobahn Collision Center is auto glass replacement. This glass always seems so indestructible — until it’s broken. Unfortunately, the glass that’s used for cars and the systems used for electric windows and locks is a bit tricky. Depending on the condition of your vehicle and it’s glass, there will be times where we can do some repair work, but more often than not our team is tackling auto glass replacement.
Auto Body Painting
The service most commonly associated with auto body shops is probably painting. The exterior of vehicles may seem like a nice smooth canvas, but the process of getting a new coat of paint on a car is far from simple. In order to complete a high-quality paint job on a vehicle, the previous coat and varnish need to be completely removed, often requiring hours upon hours of sanding. Once that’s been done, we do our best to treat any rust and, upon request, make any repairs to the body of the car.
Once we have a fresh, smooth canvas of a car prepped, it’s time for primer and several layers of paint. After the paint has dried (this takes several days), we apply a clear coat to provide some additional protection and create the glossy look that we see on so many new cars. Then, it’s time to buff out the car, polish it, and send it on its way.
